US calculator
Fireplace Installation Cost Calculator
Estimate installed US fireplace costs by quantity, fireplace type, installation complexity, venting, finish, and selected project work.
How this estimate is calculated
Fireplace type defines the installed per-unit range, which is multiplied by fireplace count without adding a duplicate generic baseline. Installation and vent/flue work scale per fireplace. Finish adjusts the installed subtotal, while utilities, hearth, permits, framing and optional complete chimney construction remain fixed project allowances.
This is a planning estimate, not a contractor quote. Actual contractor quotes vary by location, specification, site conditions, labour, and project requirements.
Useful cost information
Planning assumptions
- Existing openings, utility capacity and venting must be confirmed by a qualified installer.
- Complete new masonry chimney construction is excluded unless its separate allowance is selected.
- Existing chimney repair, sweeping and whole-home heating replacement are excluded.
